What to expect.

Two days of soccer, camaraderie and team spirit

The Winter Cup Seniors is a fully catered soccer weekend that takes place from Friday through Monday. On Friday you and your team check in at the park, after which you can settle down and make use of many facilities. The matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday on the fields of RKSV Blauw Zwart, Voorschoten’97 and SVC’08. During the weekend you will play several pool matches and final knockout matches. The program is sporty, fun and perfectly organized so your team gets the most out of the winter break.

Comfortable Duingalows as an ideal base

You and your team will stay in one of the comfortable duingalows on the grounds of Duinrell in Wassenaar. These duingalows have a living room, kitchen, bathroom and enough beds so teams can relax together or recover after the games. Everything is a short walk from the park and facilities. The duingalows are available in different sizes and price ranges. Our basic pricing is based on a comfort duingalow. If you would prefer an upgrade, ask for the options at P&M Soccer Events.

Sports and entertainment for the whole team

During the weekend, participants have free access to Duinrell's amusement park, excluding the Tiki Pool. Teams can indulge in the many attractions at the park. In addition, padel courts are available for those who want to be extra active during the winter break. You can also take advantage of cafes, game rooms, indoor entertainment and cozy spots for team building. There is always plenty to do so that the weekend is not just about soccer but also about fun,.

Meals appropriate for an athletic weekend

During the Winter Cup Holland Seniors it is possible to book breakfast and dinner in addition to accommodation. Every morning and evening there is an extensive buffet ready for you that is specially prepared for sports teams. The buffet offers plenty of variety so that everyone can eat plenty and variety after an intensive day of competition. During the day, teams can arrange their own lunch, for example in the duingalow or at the catering outlets in the park. The joint buffet dinner provides a pleasant end to the day.

Evening parties, conviviality and entertainment

Besides the sports program, the Winter Cup Holland Seniors is also known for the lively evenings full of atmosphere. The park hosts themed parties every night where teams come together to relax, laugh and really celebrate the weekend. Expect cozy drinks, music, well-known DJs, entertainment and a full house of teams from home and abroad who come together to make the weekend complete. These party nights provide the ultimate team feeling and are one of the highlights of the tournament for many participants.

From that moment, you have direct access to the park's facilities and can start the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday the pool matches and finals will be played. The weekend ends on Monday morning, after which teams return home. Due to the short and convenient schedule, the event fits perfectly within the winter break of amateur clubs.

Where will the games be played?

All matches take place at well-maintained sports complexes of three clubs in the Wassenaar region: RKSV Blauw Zwart, Voorschoten’97 and SVC’08. These clubs have several fields, dressing rooms and catering facilities, allowing for a tight and professional playing schedule. The fields are easily accessible from Duinrell and transportation can easily be arranged with own cars or team transportation. Each location is prepared for winter conditions, so matches can always go ahead.

What are the categories for teams?

The Winter Cup Holland offers different categories so that every team can participate at an appropriate level. The location at the park ensures that everything is within walking distance: restaurants, activities, indoor entertainment and the amusement park. Lodging is an important part of the experience, as teams spend time together and experience a true weekend feeling.

Do participants have access to the amusement park?

Yes, participants of the Winter Cup Seniors get access to the Duinrell amusement park excluding the Tiki Pool. This allows you to enjoy a complete day out besides playing soccer: attractions and activities for the whole team. In addition, teams can use padel courts, indoor entertainment, cafes and various sports and game activities on the grounds. This mix of soccer, fun and entertainment makes the weekend extra attractive, especially for teams that want more than just playing games.

How does it work with eating over the weekend?

When participating in the Winter Cup Holland it is possible to book breakfast and dinner. Every day teams can sit down for an extensive buffet specially prepared for sports teams. The menu offers enough variety so that everyone can put together a good meal after an intensive day of competition. Lunch is not included, but can be provided by teams themselves in the Duingalow or purchased at the various catering outlets on the park. Due to the joint buffet moment, each day closes in a convivial atmosphere with the whole team.

What can I expect from the evening festivities?

The Winter Cup Holland Seniors is known for its fun and crowded evening parties. Every evening there is a themed party where the music, DJs and entertainment create a lively, relaxed and festive atmosphere. Teams from all over the Netherlands (and sometimes abroad) gather here to end the day, meet new people and make memories outside of soccer. The parties are an important part of the weekend and are mentioned by many participants as one of the highlights of the event.

How does team registration work?

Registration is easy through the P&M Soccer Events website. You fill in the details of your team, choose the right category and confirm the registration. After registration, you will receive a confirmation. P&M ensures that all information is shared in a timely manner, so that each team can start the weekend well prepared. For senior teams, the registration fee is 189 euros per team. This is separate from the fee per person.

Do I have to stay the whole weekend?

The weekend starts on Friday and is all about soccer, fun, and enjoying time together. The program runs until Sunday late afternoon. For the youth, we'll conclude Sunday with dinner and a fun awards ceremony in the Duinrell Plaza. For the seniors, there will be a festive closing party on Sunday evening to end the weekend. You are not obligated to stay until Monday morning. Those who wish can go home on Sunday after the program. You can, of course, continue to use all the facilities at the park. Please note that no refunds will be given for any unused portion of the package.
