The Winter Cup Seniors is a fully organized soccer weekend during the winter break for men's, women's and veteran teams. The event combines a sports tournament with a stay on the grounds of Duinrell, including access to many of the park's facilities. Over two days you will play multiple pool matches and final rounds at professional sports complexes in the area. In addition to soccer, the weekend also offers fun evening parties, activities and plenty of entertainment. The Winter Cup is popular for its relaxed atmosphere, international participants and ideal preparation for the second half of the soccer season.
The Winter Cup Seniors will be held from Friday, Jan. 8 through Sunday, Jan. 11, 2027. On Friday, the teams arrive at Duinrell and can check into their Duingalow. From that moment, you have direct access to the park's facilities and can start the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday the pool matches and finals will be played. The weekend ends on Monday morning, after which teams return home. Due to the short and convenient schedule, the event fits perfectly within the winter break of amateur clubs.
All matches take place at well-maintained sports complexes of three clubs in the Wassenaar region: RKSV Blauw Zwart, Voorschoten’97 and SVC’08. These clubs have several fields, dressing rooms and catering facilities, allowing for a tight and professional playing schedule. The fields are easily accessible from Duinrell and transportation can easily be arranged with own cars or team transportation. Each location is prepared for winter conditions, so matches can always go ahead.
The Winter Cup Holland offers different categories so that every team can participate at an appropriate level. The classification is made in such a way that both recreational teams and more performing teams can be well placed. This creates a fair competition in which you play challenging matches without large level differences. The tournament is suitable for professional soccer organizations, amateur clubs.
All teams stay in the Duingalows on the grounds of Duinrell, a comfortable vacation park in Wassenaar. The Duingalows are fully equipped with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and several bedrooms. This makes them ideal for team meetings, relaxation and recovery after games. The location at the park ensures that everything is within walking distance: restaurants, activities, indoor entertainment and the amusement park. Lodging is an important part of the experience, as teams spend time together and experience a true weekend feeling.
Yes, participants of the Winter Cup Seniors get access to the Duinrell amusement park excluding the Tiki Pool. This allows you to enjoy a complete day out besides playing soccer: attractions and activities for the whole team. In addition, teams can use padel courts, indoor entertainment, cafes and various sports and game activities on the grounds. This mix of soccer, fun and entertainment makes the weekend extra attractive, especially for teams that want more than just playing games.
When participating in the Winter Cup Holland it is possible to book breakfast and dinner. Every day teams can sit down for an extensive buffet specially prepared for sports teams. The menu offers enough variety so that everyone can put together a good meal after an intensive day of competition. Lunch is not included, but can be provided by teams themselves in the Duingalow or purchased at the various catering outlets on the park. Due to the joint buffet moment, each day closes in a convivial atmosphere with the whole team.
The Winter Cup Holland Seniors is known for its fun and crowded evening parties. Every evening there is a themed party where the music, DJs and entertainment create a lively, relaxed and festive atmosphere. Teams from all over the Netherlands (and sometimes abroad) gather here to end the day, meet new people and make memories outside of soccer. The parties are an important part of the weekend and are mentioned by many participants as one of the highlights of the event.
Registration is easy through the P&M Soccer Events website. You fill in the details of your team, choose the right category and confirm the registration. After registration, you will receive a confirmation. P&M will ensure that all information is shared in a timely manner so that each team can start the weekend well prepared.
The Winter Cup Holland is suitable for a wide audience. From competitive teams to recreational amateur clubs. The different pools allow each team to play at its own level. The weekend is perfect for teams who do not want to sit still during the winter break, who want to do something extra for teambuilding or who just feel like a sporty and fun weekend away. The combination of soccer, parties, activities and accommodation makes the event accessible and attractive to almost any senior team.
Yes. Safety has the highest priority during the entire youth weekend. All activities take place on the enclosed grounds of Duinrell, where supervision is always present. Teams stay together with their leaders in a Duingalow, so players are never unaccompanied. We also work with fixed meeting points, clear daily programs and professional staff of both P&M Soccer Events and Duinrell. This allows parents to let their child participate in a safe and well-organized weekend with peace of mind.
The Winter Youth Cup caters to multiple age groups, ranging from O12 to O19. Depending on the edition, teams are divided by age group and often by level. As a result, each team plays matches appropriate to their development and playing experience.
Youth teams stay in fully equipped Duingalows at the park of Duinrell. These cottages are ideal for groups and offer plenty of room for players, trainers and possibly coaches. The Duingalows are centrally located on the site so that everything is close by, from catering outlets to activities and the Tiki Pool. This makes the stay practical, safe and convenient.
Yes, parents are welcome to attend games. The soccer venues are open to the public. Parents will stay in the team's Duingalows if the team agrees. If they would like a separate stay they may also do so, please notify P&M Soccer Events.
Teams travel by their own transportation or by parents/escorts to the sports complexes. For international teams, P&M will provide transportation. All fields are a short distance from Duinrell and are easily accessible. For accompaniment, P&M provides clear routes, departure times and game schedules so that everything runs smoothly and conveniently.
Youth teams receive access to the amusement park and Tiki Pool, providing plenty of opportunities for fun and relaxation. In addition, youth-friendly activities such as game nights, team challenges, quizzes and indoor entertainment are organized. The program is structured so that players are never bored and are always active or entertaining.
Every day there is an extensive buffet that is included with the stay. This buffet is prepared with sporting youth in mind: nutritious, varied and suitable for large groups. Lunch is provided by teams themselves in the Duingalow or through catering outlets at the park. Dinner together provides structure and a fun team moment.
All games will be played at sports complexes well prepared for winter conditions. Whenever possible, field changes will be made and the playing schedule will be adjusted so that everything goes on. In extreme conditions, alternate schedules are available and player safety always remains the primary concern.
Yes. A strict alcohol policy for youth under 18 applies during the Winter Cup Youth. The organization and coaching staff will ensure compliance with these rules. In addition, there will be supervision from team leaders and Duinrell employees at all times, keeping the weekend safe, orderly and child-friendly.
